End-user license agreement (EULA)

This End-User License Agreement (“EULA”) is a legal agreement between you and the operators of ruletka.me (“Licensor”, “we”, “us”) governing your use of the Software described below.

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the Software, you accept this EULA. If you do not agree, do not use the Software.

Use of the operated chat service (matchmaking, live calls, friends on our hub) is also governed by the Terms of service, Privacy policy, and Community guidelines. If this EULA and the Terms conflict on service operations, the Terms control for that topic; if they conflict on software licensing, this EULA controls.

1. What is licensed

For this EULA, “Software” means, as made available by us:

• The web client served at ruletka.me (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, assets, service workers, and related UI);
• Optional helpers / downloads (for example bridge binaries, install scripts, or packages linked from the site);
• Client-side configuration and static assets we publish for that client;
• Documentation and notices we provide with the above.

“Software” does not by itself grant you rights to our trademarks, production secrets, or to operate ruletka.me as if you were the official brand operator. Running your own hub under another domain is addressed in open-source project licenses and our public docs — not by brand impersonation.

2. Eligibility

• You must be 18+ (or older if your jurisdiction’s age of majority is higher).
• You may only use the Software for lawful, adult purposes consistent with the Terms and Community guidelines.
• If you use the Software on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.

3. License grant

Subject to this EULA, we grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to:

• Access and run the web client in a compatible browser for personal, non-commercial adult video chat and related features we enable;
• Download and run official helpers/binaries we publish, solely as documented, to connect to a hub or improve connectivity;
• Make reasonable copies for personal backup of downloads you obtained from us, if needed for that purpose.

This is a license to use, not a sale. Except for rights you already have under applicable open-source licenses for specific components, no other rights are granted by implication or otherwise.

4. Restrictions

Except as allowed by mandatory law or an applicable open-source license for a specific component, you may not:

• Use the Software if you are under 18, or to facilitate harm, exploitation, or illegal activity;
• Rent, lease, sell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Software as a competing hosted “ruletka.me” clone that misuses our brand;
• Remove or obscure copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices on materials we publish under this brand;
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Software for the purpose of attacking users, bypassing safety systems, or disrupting the Service (lawful interoperability analysis where permitted by law remains subject to those laws);
• Use bots, scrapers, or automation to flood matchmaking, mass-message users, or extract user data without our prior written permission;
• Modify the client solely to evade bans, rate limits, age gates, or abuse controls on our hub;
• Introduce malware, perform unauthorized scanning of other users’ devices, or attempt to compromise the Software or infrastructure;
• Misrepresent that your hub, fork, or app is the official ruletka.me service without permission.

5. Open-source components

Parts of the broader ruletka / freenet-roulette project may be released under open-source licenses (for example LGPL-2.1-only and other licenses stated in source repositories and LICENSE files).

• Those licenses govern the corresponding source and binaries as distributed under them.
• This EULA does not limit rights you already have under those licenses for those components.
• Where the open-source license and this EULA both apply, the open-source license controls for that component’s code rights; this EULA and the Terms still govern use of our operated service and brand.
• Brand name “ruletka.me”, production configuration, and operator secrets are not open-sourced by default.

If you redistribute open-source code, you must comply with the applicable license (notices, source offers where required, etc.).

6. Updates & availability

• We may update, replace, or discontinue the Software or any feature at any time (including cache-busted client files, helpers, or APIs).
• Updates may install automatically when you reload the site or fetch new assets.
• We do not guarantee that older clients or helpers will keep working with current hubs.
• The Software may be unavailable due to maintenance, network issues, capacity limits, or force majeure.

7. Third-party services & dependencies

The Software may depend on third-party browsers, operating systems, fonts, CDNs, analytics (if configured), STUN/TURN providers, app stores, or tunnels. Those parties have their own terms. We are not responsible for third-party products or outages.

If you point the client at a third-party hub, that operator’s policies apply to signaling and data on their servers.

8. Ownership

• We and our licensors retain all right, title, and interest in the Software we provide under this brand, including UI design and trademarks, subject to open-source grants on specific components.
• You retain rights to your own content (camera, mic, messages) as described in the Terms; the Software may process it only as needed to provide features you use.
• Feedback you send about the Software may be used by us without obligation to you.

9. Privacy & data on device

The Software may store preferences, identity material, chat history, and keys on your device (for example localStorage / IndexedDB). You can clear local data where the UI provides that option. See the Privacy policy for what hubs process for matchmaking, friends, and reports.

10. Disclaimers

THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation.

Video chat quality depends on devices, browsers, firewalls, and peers. We do not warrant that peer connections will succeed, that TURN will be free or available, or that safety features will detect every problem.

11. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE AND OUR CONTRIBUTORS AND HOSTING PROVIDERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from the Software or inability to use it.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY UNDER THIS EULA IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (a) amounts you paid us for the Software (if any) in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) USD $50. Mandatory consumer rights in your jurisdiction remain unaffected where they cannot be waived.

12. Termination

• This EULA is effective until terminated.
• You may stop using the Software at any time (close the site, uninstall helpers, clear local data).
• We may suspend or terminate your license and access if you violate this EULA, the Terms, or applicable law, or if we discontinue the Software.
• On termination, you must stop using the Software and destroy copies of proprietary downloads you are no longer licensed to keep, except copies you must retain under an open-source license or law.
• Sections that should survive (ownership, open-source acknowledgments, disclaimers, liability limits, general terms) survive termination.

13. Export & compliance

You agree to comply with export control, sanctions, and technology-use laws that apply to you. You may not use the Software where doing so would violate those laws.

14. General

• Entire agreement (software). This EULA is the complete agreement regarding the license of the Software, together with open-source licenses for specific components and the Terms for service use.
• Severability. If a provision is unenforceable, the remainder stays in effect.
• No waiver. Failure to enforce a right is not a waiver of later enforcement.
• Assignment. You may not assign this EULA without our consent. We may assign it when transferring operation of the Service or Software.
• Language. English controls if translations differ.
• Governing law. Same approach as the Terms: laws applicable to the operator of the hub/software distribution you use, subject to mandatory consumer protections where you live.
